I approached this project with a narrative mindset — designing the flow of content to mirror a student’s journey from curiosity to connection. Each section is placed intentionally, allowing stories, stats, and moments to build momentum as readers move through the piece.
To maintain clarity and engagement, I used a spacious, editorial layout with layered elements, soft textures, and varied typographic scale to keep each page visually distinct.
I highlighted student voices and statistics using bold type and structured white space, creating balance between dynamic spreads and focused callouts. This allowed me to showcase Wesleyan’s personality without overwhelming the reader.
My goal was to create an elegant yet friendly publication that emotionally connects with students while clearly guiding them through what Wesleyan has to offer.
The academic overview is built to be informative but light — presenting majors, academic strengths, and outcomes in a way that feels accessible and clear. I emphasized visual clarity through structured layouts, supporting icons, and simplified text hierarchy.
I designed these sections to highlight Wesleyan’s unique blend of liberal arts exploration and hands-on experience. The use of columns, iconography, and infographics allowed me to make dense information easier to digest without sacrificing depth.
Help prospective students quickly understand their options — and what makes Wesleyan’s academic model different — with layouts that invite skimming or deep reading.
I incorporated real student quotes, dynamic campus photos, and lifestyle imagery to build a view of Wesleyan that feels alive. This section emphasizes belonging and engagement, helping prospective students see themselves reflected in the stories and visuals.
Design-wise, I used asymmetry, color overlays, and occasional shape layering to bring warmth and rhythm to each spread. I made intentional spacing and contrast decisions to allow important moments to breathe.
Capture the energy and closeness of campus life while reinforcing the message that Wesleyan is a place where students are known, supported, and celebrated.
The final section of the viewbook provides a clean, easy-to-follow guide for next steps. I designed it to help students take action — whether applying, scheduling a visit, or connecting with admissions.
I kept the design minimal and approachable, using consistent icons, generous margins, and bold CTAs. Key contact info and digital links are placed to support both print and mobile viewing.
Ensure students feel confident and informed about how to move forward in their admissions journey.
Viewbooks often serve as a student’s first real look at a college — and I treated this as an opportunity to create something memorable. From layout to tone, everything was crafted to help Wesleyan make a lasting first impression that feels personal and genuine.
